FYI: To find the permissions of the current dir is quite simple, ls -la
and look for the first entry ".
". The flags at the beginning will tell you the read/write/execute flags first letter should be d
for directory, then there are 3 groups of 3 letters generally rwxr-xr-x
, each group representing the access for the "owner", "group of users" and "all users". You can read about them here if you are still interested:
