I downloaded the free version – though I could not tell why I might get the paid version instead. Maybe I needed to get further for that to be clear.
Unfortunately I found it unplayable. Far too sluggish and I kept crashing into things. The first tutorial level let me get away with this, but the first proper level I died pretty quickly. It’s probably about as good as you can do with on-screen controls – any more responsive and you would end up going into things far too often. The auto-straightening works well, though it stops you doing anything too interesting such as using the brake to turn.
It could do with analog controls. Maybe using the device’s accelerometer for steering, which would also let you keep your eyes on the road not the controls.
I really like the colours and design, which drew me to it. But it was hard to appreciate once I started playing, as I tried to avoid the traffic.
