You would use it for more form type apps, animation needs performance, just the over head of binding, calls here and there, I haven't even used it and I know it's bad mojo for games just because of how data binding works. (call stack, allocations etc.) đ
A card game? I don't even know, from what @leokan23 is inferring, not even that haha. Seems like it's really "browser" type stuff that is data centered not animation/speed centered.

PS Case in point for myself, I used MXML for my LilDrumMachine and DrumPadBeats apps, I NEVER used data binding once. I had a bunch of forms and things that NEED it but I used mediators and such where I controlled the flow of data and notifications/signals.
