2dguy That's just my idea for a solution. Not what has been proposed by harman. They have not been very forthcoming with any concrete reassurances of any one solution. According to the aforementioned correspondence, in the worst case they will just remove OpenGL from the sdk and there will be no more stage3D for apple devices. In the best case they will work out a deal with MoltenGL, which seems to be even more uncertain. We have no idea if they will be able to work out a license deal to distribute their binary or how it will reflect on developers or costs, but we do know for a fact that if they don't, they will just drop opengl/stage3D, based on what Andrew has said. It's important that people know, especially those targeting the apple platforms, that there is an elevated risk of uncertainty. That is my only narrative. Also very important is that Admittedly, Apple may continue supporting opengl and I will have been worried for nothing at all. 😅 But also that Apple has a very good history of following through with their inclinations and we have been given every reason, short of an official statement, that it is going to happen.
