I have tried FFParticle system as well since I was not able to implement radial emission with Stardust particle system.
However it seams that FFParticle system is not working at all. And it has some bugs right out of the box.
This is how I instantiate FFParticle system:
var sysOpt:SystemOptions = SystemOptions.fromXML(forceFieldRotationLeftParticleAssets.data, forceFieldRotationLeftParticleAssets.texture);
// create particle system
var psStyle:FFParticleStyle = new FFParticleStyle();
ps = new FFParticleSystem(sysOpt, psStyle);
ps.emitterX = 800;
ps.emitterY = 500;
but nothing happens no particles whatsoever.
There is a bug when I instantiate FFParticleSystem without style (second constructor parameter) it throws error "Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor" but the argument itself is optional. It is set as null by default.
Also there is a issue with FFParticle system sprite itself. I do not have option to constrain it and its covering my entire screen so I can not click anything bellow it.
