I'm trying to create a ScrollContainer that repositions elements after the scrolling was finished (to its left and right) and clears all elements that are not reachable withing one swipe to change the page.
The problem I'm running into now, is that there's a slight flicker between re-positioning the elements in the "viewport" (the actual page) and calling the scrollToPage function.
So my question: Is there any way to "freeze" the ScrollContainer, then recreated the elements, and then unfreeze it? I know that freeze() is an actual function for DisplayObjects, but I'm afraid it doesn't do what I need in this particular case.
ScrollContainer: reposition elements + scroll = flicker(3 posts) (2 voices)
Try calling validate() immediately after you call scrollToPage().
If that doesn't work, then your best option is probably to draw it to a RenderTexture.
Genius. Calling validate() on the ScrollContainer after scrollToPage(..) fixed it. Thanks Josh!
