I have been working in the past months on a project that will help newcomers to quickly learn how to develop a mobile app using the Starling Framework, FeathersUI and Adobe AIR stack.
This app uses the most common basic features modern apps require, such as loading data from a web server, passing data between screens and adapting to any screen size and orientation.
I commented as much as I could, explaining how most of the code works and interacts with each other.
