I'm working on a project that involves parallax backgrounds and enemies that emerge from said backgrounds. I've made my own display object extension that handles depth or and z-sorting, and everything's working fine, except for the particle system. What id like to know is, if there's any way that I can somehow modify the system to draw it's individual particles on a different display object so that the particles themselves are z-sorted as well because right now as you'd expect all of the particles in the system have the same z. (An enemy is completely in front or behind of the entire system).
If anyone can offer any suggestions to how I can make this modification I would greatly appreciate it.
