I am getting the following run-time exception when I try to use Starling. I am just trying to do the basic TextField/"Hello World" app.
I've trimmed the paths to "..." for readability.
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property profile not found on flash.display3D.Context3D and there is no default value. at starling.rendering::Painter/configureBackBuffer()[...\rendering\Painter.as:226] at starling.core::Starling/updateViewPort()[...\Starling.as:474] at starling.core::Starling/initialize()[...\Starling.as:352] at starling.core::Starling/onContextCreated()[...\src\starling\core\Starling.as:584]
The specific line of code is line 226
if (_context.profile == "baselineConstrained")
If I check the variables, _context.profile indeed says "<exception thrown by getter>"
I have no idea what to do. _context is just a Context3D instance. I can get Stage3D and all its concomitant classes to work WITHOUT using the Starling class. So I know that's working and I know that it's working with the classes found in the Starling code library.
I really have no idea what to do or what the problem could be. I'm missing some esoteric and recondite detail. I'm using Win 10 64-bit Flash Builder 4.7. This is what I've checked:
o Compiler options: -locale en_US -swf-version=14
o Latest SDK files: downloaded and copied to com.adobe.flash.compiler_184.108.40.2069722 directory
o -app.xml file version: <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/24.0">
o -app.xml wmode setting: <renderMode>direct</renderMode>
What's missing? Like I said, Stage3D is working. It's specifically Starling itself (starling.core.Starling) that is NOT working with Context3D.
Thanks in advance for any help. I'm at my wit's end.
Edit: Additionally, this is an AS3 Adobe AIR project.
