We have complete some project using starling. Starling is quite good tool for us as3 users.
However, we find it is quite a waste for not be able to use normal flash vector shap and bone animation, and visual editor for UIs. Which allows re-use of art parts like head ,body and arms, and easier to locate the parts in visual editor.
In starling,we now have to use spritesheet for animation, and guess work for UI layout, which would make the file very big if there are lots of character animation ,and longer time spend on UI layout.
We feel that our beloved starling is facing unity3d and cocos these completed set of tools bare handed. Lacking of related tool for 2d on flash stage3d framework. And Adobe seems not doing anything about it. Starling feels quite alone.
We are wondering if there is anything that support some visual animation creation and export for bone animation and UI animation information? Just like what normal flash used to have.
