2dguy 785597448 AS3 is a great development tool, but unfortunately it does not support HTML5, so I am currently using OpenFL
Michoko I do, and I still think it's a great tool for apps that are not fully system oriented (I mean that require a standard system UI). But for small games, prototypes or apps that require a nice graphical UI, it is excellent, fast, and stable.
Fancy2209 785597448 this is not true You can use Apache Royale together with OpenFL JS to use AS3 for HTML5 https://GitHub.com/openfl/openfl-samples-as3
785597448 Fancy2209 Apache Royale "is another framework, the last released version was in 2024. I know about 'openfl-samples-as3', but why not just use 'haxe'. I think the "as3" mentioned on the "Starling" forum is "Adobe Air as3", not other frameworks ..
Fancy2209 785597448 Apache Royale is a compile first and foremost You can use with other frameworks, in this case OpenFL Why not just use Haxe? Because porting AS3 projects to Haxe can get really annoying
hardcoremore I working on the same game for 10 ( havent't released it yet 🙁 ) years to I am pretty stuck with it 😃
hardcoremore 785597448 No I am using plain old starling 2.7 and Feathers and my custom libraries 😃 and Box2d physics engine also modified by me 😃 And IntelliJ and VS Code for editing
FliplineStudios Michoko We've released a few deluxe remakes of our Flash games: Papa's Freezeria Deluxe, Papa's Pizzeria Deluxe, and Jacksmith: Weapons and Warriors, with Papa's Mocharia Deluxe (a PC version of our mobile-only game) coming out next.
785597448 Have everyone considered using 'openfl'? After all, "openfl" supports more target platforms than "as3", And with better performance, "Starling" has an "openfl" version
