I'm struggling with finding some relaiable ANE for monitoring memory events on Android. My game to work fastest for longer sessions should use all the available RAM that is available on a device. So i have to find out what is the max safe amount while avoiding the crash.
I've found Distriqt Memory ANE (https://github.com/distriqt/ANE-Memory) that is listening to onTrimMemory Events. So exactly what i was looking for. But i wasn't able to use it succesfully. It looks like it's working - initialization is fine and ANE is succesfully providing data with Memory.service.getMemoryInfo(). Unfortunetly MemoryEvent.LOW_MEMORY_WARNING are never dispatched. I can see onTrimMemory with logcat on android but in AIR app listener is not receiving any event.
Anyone got it working on Android? Maybe i'm doing something wrong.
Or have something else to recommend for memory monitoring?
