Looking at your screenshot, it looks almost as it should, text should be a bit more left, but otherwise everything is correct.
72 points of font size should not be 72 pixel of square capital letter height. Numbers should almost never touch bottom line, they should touch a baseline which, as you can see, is at the bottom of white 1 2 and 4. Everything looks correct, except aligned horizontally a bit unevenly.
I would even say that your font positions works better than mine in the past, at least what i can assume from this screenshot.
There are definitely mechanics to improve with aligning text in Starling ( though bitmap fonts as a data type might be a real problem, not a Starling itself as it might not have enough data ), but your screenshot represents none of them. Moreover, in your screenshot these problems look solved, which looks like you use a better tool for bitmap font export than I did.
