Hi all
Up until now our game never used video, I would be thankful for some general advice with this.
My goal is to use videos where I want very rich animations which I can’t create with tweens, or when using frame-by-frame sprites is quite impossible (e.g. a 5 second 1000x500 clip)
I thought about the following issues:
- Is there any good example/tutorial on this? It does not appear in the Starling Manual.
I plan to load videos only from disk (no streaming) - will loading be 100% asynchronously? no frame choke?
Does it have any special influence on performance?
Are there any known issues with ANRs / crashes / errors / instability that you may know?
Is it supported in both Android and iOS?
Will I be able to show it as part of the Starling display list?
Will I be able to play several videos at once?
Does it support alpha channel?
If anyone can share their experience on these aspects or in general, I would be greatly thankful
Thanks again
Eyal
