Hi all,
I'm newbie in this forum and in Starling at all, so don't hurt me please in my first topic 😄
I've experience with the classic flash as2(good) and as3(medium), good at animations. But it's my first steps with Flex (4.16), AIR SDK (33.1) and Starling (2.7). Now I'm using Intellij IDEA for the development.
Info about project:
I've a bunch of SWF files (it's animated interactive lessons for kids) compiled in classic way (Adobe Animate with click, hover events, drag-drop using AS3, tweens, buttons, movieclips with AS3 linkages etc.), I mean — these SWF files are created without using any Flex/AIR/Starling. Now I'm developing an Android app (using Starling 2.7) with main menu, settings, etc. I've thumbnails of lessons and on click on them I'm planning to load related swf file into Starling app.
Questions:
- How to load "classic" swf files into Starling app?
- Is it OK to do that or it's kind of workaround solution? Will it display and work using all the capabilities and power of Starling (FPS, memory, etc.)?
p.s: As I understand it's impossible to do using Embed feature of Flex, I assume it's possible using LoaderContext.
