Murray https://airsdk.harman.com/download/33.1.1.476 Release notes This release aims to resolve the problems on Android that were found with the 33.1.1.444 release, in particular: AIR applications would not run on earlier Android OS versions due to dependencies from the library imports, caused by a build change. This has been updated to ensure that the latest third party libraries can build using the older NDK platform settings. HTTPS failures on 64-bit Android platforms, caused by a configuration setting that prevented the loading of the AIR-generated security certificate bundle. Some other fixes and updates have been included, notably a set of changes to improve the stability of multimedia playback of H.264 and AAC content on Windows where a number of serious memory leaks were found along with an uninitialized variable causing instability. On the MacOS side this SDK now uses Universal binaries to include both x86_64 and arm64 executable code, so AIR will run ‘natively’ on the new M1 hardware without needing the Rosetta 2 mechanism. The revised code for generating Android App Bundles will be included in our next release and will then form the foundation for providing Play Asset Delivery support. Another planned change in the short term is to help eliminate the last few remaining code-signing issues when generating IPA files, for the AIR SDK running on MacOS we will switch to using the standard ‘codesign’ process if a KeyChain alias is passed in the signing options
fletcher Native M1, that's awesome. I think at some point apple will push native M1 apps in the mac app store above x64.
fletcher I do not know and I am not going to try for a while. Seems M1 macs have some issues for now in general.
TeotiGraphix fletcher There are, I am also in the Audio Dev scene and the M1 has caused a many problems with DAWs, VST and MIDI, so Apple just threw out a beta and is having everybody test for them.
fletcher I was going to switch to the web stack. But, Harman have restored my faith in Air. Android 64 & M1 support is going to give the platform some significant life.
fletcher A company I work with sent all the M1 macs back to Apple as a Docker deployment tool would not work!
joshtynjala I've been using an M1 Mac mini as my main development machine for a couple of months so far. Loving it.
TeotiGraphix joshtynjala I'm talking low level stuff, C/C++ relating to drivers etc, not app dev. I am sure they had that working decently.
dqvsra Even if I don't use AIR now a days for making money, I still follow updates in AIR. Thanks Harman!
