I have written an app that uses a lot lists that contain images that are downloaded from url's on Amazaon S3. I use a contentcache object to make scrolling through lists more attractive and smooth, but on the initial load of the lists, it is much more jerky and momentarily chaotic while you wait for the images to download. The only way that I know how to use the contentcache is in the context of a list itemrenderer downloading the images and caching them for future use.
My question is this. Is there a way to download a series of images directly to contentcache in the background so that when a client encounters a list, the images are already downloaded and ready to go???
