ma Every time I start something new, even if it's just a little experiment I start by creating a git repo. It becomes habit and you won't lose code ever again
I agree 100%, git
+ git hosting solutions (Bitbucket, Github, Gitlab, ...)
are way more than a "backup system", they help to review your code, collaborate with team members, work in parallel on multiple features / bug fixes & more! Same, first thing I do when starting a new project is creating a git repository.
@plasmaphonic If you are not familiar with git
I would highly recommend you to start following few tutorials to understand the fundamentals (commits, branches, fetch, push, merge, etc.). I've personally started learning this key technology with https://learngitbranching.js.org.
Note that getting comfortable with git
is taking a bit of time but as said before it's definitively worth it! I hope you will enjoy discovering this game changer tech in a life of a programmer / developer.
