Shaun_Max Also when drawn as a Sprite i dont see any increase in draw calls or GPU
Good. I was thinking e.g. of the backs being drawn as an untextured Mesh - a rounded rectangle for example – with textured Images for the things on the cards. And changing from a textured Image to an untextured Mesh triggers a draw call. But there are many ways to draw them, some of which do not generate draw calls.
High draw calls isn't necessarily a problem. Starling can manage dozens of them easily. It is though one thing you should aim to reduce, mostly as you can often do so by rearranging things. As the same things are being drawn, just in a different order, it's a straightforward performance win.
