mfrasier VS Code since it's lightweight and I use it for a lot, but you are right, the tinkering gets old
I have some major projects in VSCode now, took me a couple months to finally get everything purring but man I can dev so fast now.
VSCode once you learn it and understand, there is not much tinkering, just setup asconfig and launch tasks. Done.
As far as ane's you do not need paths anymore and it uncompresses them into the bin folder automatically. I use an Android/Windows ane totally without problems. Just add to the app-xml and in the
external-library-path, off to the races.
