Hi guys, long time without posting here (or doing AS3).
I don't know how many active devs are still around the forum, but I thought about porting the blurhash algorithm to AS3 , as I'm using it much in Flutter lately.
I'm very rusty on AIR/AS3... and this is not even a Starling lib (still don't know how to compile outside ADL desktop on OSX).
Maybe some of you still use Feathers / Flex / MXML to do apps and loading remote images, like users avatars, photo gallery, etc. This is where blurhash makes a difference.
Please, experienced devs, do proper testing to see if it's even usable on mobile... the key is to make very tiny thumbnails and explode the bitmap out of it.
Here's the repo (is basically an utility class for encode/decode ):
Also... if you find yourself dealing with lots and lots of images, check http://cloudimage.com/, has a very flexible free tier, cdn, and awesome performance... is a perfect match for blurhash to retrieve ur network images faster and transform them.
That's it, hope someone finds it useful!
