Hi,
Last year (before the dead-line of Android-x64 and Harman takes care about AIR), I recreated from scratch (not converted) an entire mobile App from AIR to Xamarin.
Problem solved and no going back on that.
I still have the same issue for Desktop.
Living with AIR mobile on this days it's like living in a hope that tomorrow there is sunshine.
For Desktop it's a different story because tend to be more stable and compatible.
We have now the Apple ARM issue but I believe that this time we will see the problem solve sooner (the conditions are not the same).
However I have always an eye of the new opportunities and the reality is that, as a developer we don't have much choices for Desktop on Windows and macOS from the same code-base.
In fact, I believe that AIR are still be best choice by far "today".
However I see 2 projects evolving on this area for the first time and they both seems promissing:
- Feathers UI: https://feathersui.com
- MAUI: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/introducing-net-multi-platform-app-ui
The first one you probably know, from our very well known josh
The second one is the next generation of Xamarin (the name will change to MAUI) and this time from a single code base I can also target Windows and macOS !
