It kind of feels like a beginner question, but haven't had this issue with any iOS device or pre-notch devices ever:
I am discovering more and more devices that report completely wrong screen height values (width is always correct, but I'm only using portrait mode).
This results in our apps having less screen space and black bars at the bottom, about 20-25%. The apps run in fullscreen (most in immersive fullscreen) and the height cut is too high to simply be status bar and virtual buttons.
It is likely not a direct AIR/Starling problem, as ANEs are also reporting wrong height and wrong dpi values:
For example Samsung S20+ (height should be 2400):
densityDpi: 450
screenHeight: 2009
screenWidth: 1080
xdpi: 391.885498046875
ydpi: 393.290283203125
On 1440p the height cut is is bigger (should be 3200) but in relation the same:
densityDpi: 600
screenHeight: 2678
screenWidth: 1440
xdpi: 522.5139770507813
ydpi: 524.3870239257813
I am also unable to fill that missing space with hardcoded values, it simply gets ignored.
Has by chance someone an explanation I'm missing or a workaround for this?
