Until now, I have used the "old" way for icons and launch images on iOS. In all my builds, I included the following icons:
More recently, iOS builds required the addition of an Assets.car file for the app icon. And in April, using a Storyboard will be mandatory too.
So I'm not sure what is still necessary, and what is obsolete now. Are separate icons still necessary if an Assets.car file is included? And are launch images necessary if a storyboard is included? I'd love to remove all those old files, which take space and may be outdated. But maybe they are still useful for older iOS system versions?
If someone could tell us what is strictly necessary to build IPAs with latest AIR SDK 33, that would be awesome!
By the way, MyFlashLabs just released a new version of their ANELab app that allows to generate both Assets.car and storyboard files very easily. It is even available for users who didn't register to their membership club.
