joshtynjala Did you read through the AIR 33 release notes from HARMAN? They include special instructions for configuring IDEs to use AIR 33, including Flash Builder. https://airsdk.harman.com/assets/pdfs/Release_Notes_AIR_SDK.pdf
hardcoremore For Flash Builder you need to copy jre from Java installation folder to Flash Builder jre folder. I had the exact same error.
gakkos 1 edited the java folder 2 edited APPLICATION parameter value in android builder 3 -arch armv8 value added. thank you 😀 No problem working now
ma playkia FlashBuilder is an Adobe product and part of Creative Cloud subscription. It is unmaintained and I wouldn't use it for new development.
TeotiGraphix My son is working with me now, so I have had him training some things (Haxe as well). He wrote up a little write up about Josh's VSCode with Android. https://www.teotigraphix3d.com/2020/03/13/hello-airmobile-your-first-air-android-app/
inverse The VS Code extension is nice, especially since it's free. Nothing beats IntelliJ IDEA, though.
playkia Well, I agree with @llorenzo & @inverse regarding the coding and other ide usage related things! but I am disappointed with the build quality! Still couldn't figure out why there were issues with performance and sound! Also, I would like to know how to disable trace logs while compiling final build!
ChrisDS playkia If you're looking for something free/open source take a look at https://www.flashdevelop.org/ It is still being maintained...although the IDE is a little buggy at times, it is a great alternative. It has a built in swf profiler and awesome code hinting. Intellij is my preferred, but FD feels like a step up from animate and FB to me.
playkia ChrisDS No, I wasn't! Just wanted to know if I could try it out for free or whether its available for monthly rentals! Dint know it was a part of CC.
Bink I still use FlashDevelop, despite recent nightly builds being a bit buggy. It is still maintained and bug reports are valued. A few times I've jumped into VisualStudio Code and granted it's an ok option, but it's simply not as feature rich as FlashDevelop so I inevitably switch back.
2dguy Bink I still use FlashDevelop, despite recent nightly builds being a bit buggy. It is still maintained and bug reports are valued. When was the last release candidate...released? Thanks.
TeotiGraphix playkia what about iOS build? You need a mac. https://community.adobe.com/t5/flash-builder/does-flash-builder-has-64-bit-macos-version-the-real-version/td-p/10666752?page=1
ChrisDS playkia TeotiGraphix You dont actually need a mac device. You can compile ios from a VM on windows like https://www.virtualbox.org/ running macOS.....
hardcoremore playkia Windows? what about iOS build? What about iOS build? I compile iOS builds from Windows just fine using AIR. Didn't have any problems.
