leokan23 Hmmm I'm guessing preinit is something MXML-specific since I've never seen it for AS3 projects, though we're not seeing any sort of black image or gradient when using Launch Images, they're perfectly seamless to the app's starting screen. The only time we're seeing an issue is specifically with a Storyboard (whether or not Launch Images are also used in the ipa), where it will show the Storyboard, flicker to black, then show the app starting screen after that (newer iOS versions fade up from black, older versions I believe just flicker).
Here's a previous discussion from a few months back mentioning the black flicker that only occurs with Storyboards but not with Launch Images:

Based on that second link, it seems like regardless of which transition style you choose in Xcode, it will still have that black flicker/fade at startup or when switching apps. Not sure if that's something Harman would need to specifically change with how the main application view is handled, or if there's anything else specific with the launch screen Storyboard that can adjust it that I'm missing.
