DanielKotzer If my main target are smartphones Flash and especially Stage3D performance is simply conking-out everything else.
Again I have no experience of Godod, so can’t say why it has problems. But one feature of AIR is it does not put very much in the way of the GPU. This is good for performance, but means you have to do a lot of work to get it to do anything. Starling provides a 2D API for dealing with it, but if you want to do something outside of what Starling does, such as 3D, you have to do a lot of work yourself. But in doing so you end up with pretty fast rendering.
It’s possible there’s a fast way of drawing things in Godot. But it sounds like there’s a lot more higher level abstraction you would need to work around, or find the fast way to use. And having so many issues as I noted would make it hard. It perhaps needs to settle down, to a more stable release with issues fixed or easily addressed.
