I play a sound file from the web, the code is simple:
var s:Sound = new Sound(req,context);
var channel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel();
channel = s.play();
The sound file is being streamed, meaning it is loaded in small parts and each part is played as it finished downloading, no need to download the complete sound file, all this is simple, but I use a scroll bar to show the current position of the player and I can't know the true total size of the sound file just by checking s.length, because it is changing as more data is downloaded. Is there a way to know the complete size of the sound file?
Is there a way to navigate to parts that had not yet downloaded, like in a YouTube video?
