2dguy "ANE creation and packaging remains free" hmm... so to clarify... if I develop an ANE, I can sell it, profit off it, with no worry about paying Harman?
mfrasier yooni126 Not sure how much "flash" you actually need from a site to get updates and download an SDK from, but This website will be further developed over the coming months to become the main entry point to learn about Adobe AIR and its capabilities, to download the SDK and to find support via the forums and bug database. AIR is dead OMG! Harman takes over Eww, their site isn't sexy. 😩
joshtynjala It wasn't the design or programming of the website that took so long. It was waiting for corporate bureaucracy to authorize anything at all to be deployed.
FlashFix Yes, any big deal like this takes time ! I like that the HARMAN team gives great support and are working hard on updates for the SDK.
hoangdung i believed this is just a demo website. i think the Harman team has been working hard for the new SDK release and official website.
raskourbina the current release of Adobe’s AIR SDK (version 32) doesn’t support 64-bit for the ARM CPU architecture.
pol2095 I don't understand how Harman add the splash screen for "FREE TIER" and not for "COMMERCIAL OPTIONS" ?
JohnBlackburne pol2095 I don't understand how Harman add the splash screen for "FREE TIER" and not for "COMMERCIAL OPTIONS" ? As an incentive to get you to pay, much like Unity. It encourages those who can afford to or can justify it to upgrade to a paid tier.
pol2095 It's not my question, I know that, the app connect to Harman and launch the splash screen or not ?
JohnBlackburne pol2095 It's not my question, I know that, the app connect to Harman and launch the splash screen or not ? Pretty sure it will be embedded in the runtime, to load and display unless you have a paid licence. It makes no sense to connect over the internet to a Harman server; that’s not a requirement for AIR, it’s up to the developer whether they require an internet connection, ot whether they can run without one.
bontegames Quick question before I start migrating all my apps: Do I need to keep my old 32bit ANE's to the build the 32bit apk? Or can I build a 32bit and a 64bit apk using the same 64bit ANE?
tuarua bontegames Or can I build a 32bit and a 64bit apk using the same 64bit ANE? You use the same. An ANE can contain multiple 'platforms', eg Windowsx86, x86_64, iOS, Android-ARM, Android-ARM64 ARM64 is just a new additional platform which will have been added by whoever built the ANE. ADT picks out the one it needs.
