DanielKotzer if I save an image to the document folder, other apps will be able to see it?
Not sure what the folder is called but iOS seems to have a pooled container for images, which different apps can save to and read from. The 'Photos' app acts as a viewer for them.
For many device users it probably contains just photos. Mine also has screenshots. As well as photos other apps can browse it. E.g. the Settings when you try and set wallpaper. You could upload images from there to social media. I would think image editing apps could access files there. And so on.
edit: a quick search and Apple’s API for other apps to browse photos (and videos) is PhotoKit. I don’t know if you can access that through Actionscript, I suspect it might need an ANE.
edit2: Looking through the AIR API there’s a CameraRoll class that seems designed just for this.
