AIR and Starling are in the midst of a period of change @POCOMAXA. In January this year, Adobe ceased funding for things like Starling and Feathers (and some others I believe).
This is what Daniel said about it:
Daniel I want to make some things clear, just to make sure there are no misunderstandings: Starling and Feathers are not discontinued - they will stick around as long as AIR is available and developers are using them. A new Starling release is already in the works, and Josh also wrote he'll keep fixing bugs and helping out in the forum - as will I.
Eventually, it was announced Adobe was handing AIR over to Harman. There is hope, and at the moment there certainly seems to be genuine intent from Harman, to revive AIR. Harman have been collaborating with Adobe for years with AIR. Over the coming months, I anticipate we'll see quite a lot of energy put into AIR.
The frameworks that exist, such as Starling, Feathers and the AIR SDK, are very mature. There is an imminent 64bit issue on Android that Harman are currently resolving with the soon to be released AIR 33. Aside from that, there's very little holding it back. There is to be a new pricing structure if you use Harman's AIR 33+ (which you'll have to if you plan to release to Android). It looks quite reasonable and includes a generous free tier.
So all that might seem quite uncertain, and it is, as things often are in times of change. However, this change has perhaps brought more hope for AIR than it's had in a long time.
So to answer your question:
POCOMAXA will there be future in AIR and STARLING
Only time will tell at the moment. Things are positive, but I'd like to see valuable frameworks like Starling, Feathers and others (perhaps even Away3D), funded again. This is pure speculations, but I wonder if Harman is able to achieve a comfortable level of income from AIR, funding will be offered to these frameworks. That's going to take a bit of time though, as they haven't even started charging yet.
