Before obtaining AIR, Harman were also Flash technology developers, like us. That service is something totally logical. There are many companies that want "flash products" in the browser, and that's where the consulting and project development in html5 comes in.
I think you are confusing concepts and objectives. Flash is not AIR (it does not have the same goal, or the same platforms). In the same way that there will continue to be customers who need to develop interactive things on a browser, whether or not there is AIR.
On the other hand, Harman is evolving AIR, since it is another of its objectives, regardless of what is read in those paragraphs (which, as I say, refer to other things).
All this does not mean that maybe one day AIR will be relegated to oblivion. But that's how the technology industry works. When the entire industry agrees to relegate a technology, exclusively for interests, there is no way to fight it.
