I get more and more support requests from my customers, who say some apps they had previously unlocked via IAPs got locked back (on Android). When they try to restore their purchase with the dedicated button, the app doesn't see that the IAP item has been purchased.
I am using the IAP ANE from MilkmanGames, and I begin to fear that it is outdated in some way, and may not work properly.
I asked my customers to check the following things:
- Be sure they still use the same Google account as the one used for the initial purchase
- Check they don't have several Google accounts configured on the same device (I know it can cause issues)
- Check their purchase history to see if the purchase appears there
- Give me the transaction ID, so I can check the purchase, and be sure it has not been cancelled.
Despite the fact the points listed above are OK, they still can't restore their purchases. Some customers having this issue (but not all) recently reset their phones, keeping the same Google user account. My only option is to send them a redeem code, so they can unlock the app again. Did you encounter similar issues? Do you think the MilkmanGames ANE has a problem, and should be replaced? (hopefully not, as it would involve quite some work).
