After countless days and nights spent doing little other than typing away, I have managed to finally complete and launch my first Starling powered mobile game.

I've always been a huge real time strategy fan, so I tried my hand at making an RTS game simple enough that even kids could play it. I also thought it would be fun to allow simultaneous single-device multi-player, where you set the device between you and a friend, and each of you have a set of controls.

Well I did installed it from beta phase and I find to actually be spending some time playing this. It has the perfect "retro" feel to me ( specially the sound effects are awesome ).
It does get a little laggy when spawning 5+ units of my own + enemies (Samsung s4 mini). I didn't figure out how the multiplayer works ?

PS: you let "Advance Telemetry" on. Regardless of what Adobe says, it does slow down the app even on android phones (from my tests ₁₅ - 20% slowness)

The video looks great, Andy, I'm sure this is a lot of fun! I have to try this out in multiplayer mode soon. 🙂

I especially love the sound effects, they're perfectly authentic — I'm old enough to judge that! 🤣

For some reason, though, the game did not start on my old (1st gen) Nexus 7 tablet. It's stuck at the startup-screen, unfortunately. If there's anything I can do to help get to the root of this, let me know!

BTW, thanks a lot for showing the "powered by Starling" badge so prominently! 😃

Just fired the game up for a bit of retro fun and I couldn't get further than the startup screen. This is on an android running 4.42.

@BigWeeD, thanks for the kind words for the tip about Advanced Telemetry 🙂 I have released an update that has that turned off!

@Daniel, @Selonie, I'm packaging my app with AIR 21, do you think that's my mistake? I'm a little stumped since I don't know anyone personally with a device that doesn't run it 🙁

Dear Andy corman, I’ve been playing this game of yours since I was 13 years old and my whole family fell In love with it, we used to draw picture me and my sisters of the NARF ships and battle on paper when my phone died, we sold lemonade to get the scrapper faction and we loved the game overall, but now we can’t play it, is there any possibility way to still play the game on iOS, thank you regardless for the nice memories
