Firstborn is looking for a Senior AS3/Flash dev for one of our projects. Flash, of all things!
I can't talk much about what the project is about (sorry), but we have a big/client project that we have actually been working on for a while. It's not a website. It's not a game, nor directly game-related (although it does have a few very simple games inside), but it's an interesting (commercial) interface. No crazy devices involved, just big out-of-home reach. It's a "sister" project to what I've been working for the past 6 months, and in all honesty I consider this one of my best, most fun projects ever, so I'm sure if you like interfaces you'd be excited by it.
The project doesn't necessarily use Starling but it's a possibility (it'll be up to the developer to decide; I did it with mine).
It can't be done as a freelance gig, or remotely. This needs to be tested and deployed on a prototype machine that is the size of a fridge, and there's some heavy interaction with custom parts of the hardware, so remote work for this just wouldn't be feasible.
The office is cool and we're nice people.
Getting work visas for non-US residents might be a problem (for people who need them) simply because it take a while to get them and this is already an ongoing project. Not saying schedule is super crazy or anything, just that we can't afford to potentially wait 6 months. You should try anyway.
This is all just me talking some random tidbits, in interviews/conversations you'll know more and be able to ask more questions (not sure how much we're revealing about this to interviewees).

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you'll work hand-in-hand with the creative team, designers and other programmers to create rich applications and out of home physical device interfaces. You'll be responsible for the front-end development of interactive projects and collaborating with a very skilled and passionate team of designers, developers and producers. You will have the chance to work on a variety of projects including (but not limited to) web applications for desktop and mobile, user interfaces for tools / CMS, games and out-of-home installations.
SKILLS & APTITUDES
— Apply your advanced AS 3.0 skills to rapidly develop multiple applications
Knowledge of modern Flash features, building reusable and well-structured.
— Excellent sense of aesthetic and motion (design, typography, UI, and interface design)
— Clearly mapping out projects & evaluating work within scope (UML a plus)
— Develop and present mockups and prototypes while working against aggressive schedules
— Strong debugging, profiling, and optimization abilities
— Knowledge of HTML5 (new semantics and JavaScript APIs, CSS3, WebGL, etc)
— Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing
— Experience using version control systems (SVN, GIT)
— Ability to identify and help resolve usability issues
— Exceptional attention to detail
GOOD TO HAVE
— GPU accelerated development methods (Starling/Stage3D) and GPU optimization techniques
— Experience using After Effects/ Final Cut Pro/ Premiere
— 3D Modeling and animation experience
— Experience with Cinder, OpenFrameworks, Processing
— iOS and Android development experience
— Understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques
— Experience integrating with third party RESTful APIs
