I was starting to port my traditional Display list code to Starling when I realize this.
The width and height of this app runs full screen on the iphone and traditionally, will scale properly on the iPad.
Now it seems, it doesn't anymore, is there any workaround on this ?
Be sure to check both "stage.width/height" (Starling stage) and "Starling.current.viewPort" to have the correct size! While the former defines the coordinate system of your stage, the other defines its real size in pixels on the screen.
So it would automatically scale ?
Like if I were to target the iPhone's 960 by 640 and set stage.width/height and Starling.current.viewPort to 960 by 640 and then decided to port it to the iPad, I just change the Starling.current.viewPort?
I am no longer experimenting with Starling because of scaling issues, the conventional Flash display list does a VERY GOOD JOB scaling up an app running on 960 by 640 to 1024 by 768 [with black strips on the top and bottom] very nicely.
But I am taking this opportunity while working on the old display list on my Game to read Starling's manual from scratch again.
