Hello! How to get the resources (. Png images for example) using the Loader? For this to work on the iphone / ipad.
When I refer to files in the directory / asets/img1.png, then on the PC for work and on the ipad does not work. ios because there are no such files, folders, pictures ...
If I use the [Embed ....] then the game freezes for 10 seconds before starting ...
I use flashdevelop. please help me!
Does it take 10s just because embedding it, or does it take so long to create your textures? (I.e. to create Bitmap instance and texture?)
If it's the latter, and I guess it is, make a small loading screen after the app is loaded (you could even use the classic display list for that), and create the textures there.
I have a related question if I may. It seems like a waste to require the Flex framework just to use the [Embed] metatag. I appreciate that not everyone uses Flash Pro and can embed assets the regular way but is it fine for me to do so? There's no pros/cons with either method?
It doesn't matter where your BitmapData comes from to create the texture. [Embed] metadata should only include a couple of Flex's classes, though. It's not the full framework.

The File class might help you.
You could use the applicationDirectory wich will work the same on ios and windows.
var dir:File = File.applicationDirectory;
Then in FlashDevelop place your assets in the bin directory so it get compiled with your project.
