I have been trying to get MP3Pitch to work with asset loading in order to be able to play sounds at different pitches. I have tried using the one from 2009, as well as a newer one that utilizes the soundchannel. When using Andre Michelles MP3Pitch, I have noticed that my fps quickly slows down permanently to about 45 fps after so many iterations of sounds being created. Is there a way to make this work, or does anyone have any suggestions?
Normally when I want to play a sound, I'll use:
var soundd:SoundChannel = assets.playSound("theSound");
I tried this and it works, but sinks my fps:
var soundd:MP3Pitch = new MP3Pitch("../sounds/theSound.mp3"); soundd.rate = Math.random() * 1.3 + 1;
Here are both links to the original MP3Pitch:
